CHARGED UP: Electrifying performances of star performers, some elated achievers and the presence of eagerly awaited personalities - the JJS Jewellery Awards night left everybody asking for more! The gala function was held to honour individuals from the jewellery industry for their achievements in varied areas. CELEBRATING TALENT: Pandmini Devi who gave out the trophies to the winners made an elegant picture in black and red sari.
Accompanying her was actress Sharmila Tagore who honoured the winners for their remarkable contributions. Rahul Gupta was awarded for outstanding contribution in Jewellery Preservation. The Outstanding contribution towards Heritage Jewellery was won by Anoop Bohra. The Student turned Entrepreneur award was bagged by Abhishek Haritwal whereas Rajiv Arora won Outstanding contribution for Innovation of blended jewellery award. Sunita Shekhawat won the Women Entrepreneur award. Babu Bhai was honoured under the Best Polishing category. There was a Recognition for Best Faculty in Gem & Jewellery category too won by Shamla Fernandis. Some of the names under the National Winners were Rajendra Bhola, Subir Sen, Ramesh Narang and Ishu Datwani.
ROCKING DUO: Singer Abhijeet Sawant was in a spirited mood and made sure that the crowd remains charged too as he sang some hot numbers like Mohabbatein Lutaaunga, Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani, and Bachna Ai Haseenon. ���I am very happy to see Sharmila Tagore for the first time in my life. I am missing someone who would have won an award for buying maximum jewellery and that���s my wife!,��� chuckled the singer. And wait, that wasn���t all! Abhijeet even tried out some belly dance moves inspired by singer and performer Niti Mohan! Niti of course stole hearts as she made the spirits soar higher singing everyone���s favourite Rasia, Beedi jailiye and Rangilo maaro dholna.
